Pop punk band The Dollyrots took to online streaming site Stageit.com on Sunday to perform their Very Chuck Berry Thanksgiving show. For those not in the know, Stageit is a streaming service that allows bands to play to their fans worldwide and can be viewed on a variety of devices. The chat box allows fans to interact directly with the band as well as each other and it adds to the atmosphere of the show. Fans can 'tip' the band throughout with prizes awarded for the 'top tippers'. This month's top tipper prize being a white acoustic/electric GRG Guitar that was played by Luis during the show. And the Dollyrots ticket price is 'pay what you can' so it won't break the bank. Playing all their favourite Chuck Berry Rock and Roll tunes including Maybellene, Roll Over Beethoven, the Pulp Fiction favourite You Never Can Tell, No Particular Place To Go, Johnny B Goode, and their 2015 Holiday cover Run Run Rudolph. With some fun stories throughout including a discussion on what exactly constitutes 'necking', and a freeze frame ugly picture for the video thumbnail, this was a lively, fun way to spend 50 minutes. Tour drummer Rikki, of The Two Tens, was also rocking out, air drumming, and chatting with fans throughout in the chat box. Information on future Dollyrots shows can be found by following their profile on Stageit by visiting www.stageit.com/TheDollyrots.
